Entity ids deterministic nature

Hi!

As per my understanding most, if not all of the dynatrace generated IDs (HOST, PROCESS etc) are deterministic in nature, meaning if you input the same parameters, you will get the same output (ie: ID).

For HOST id it is possible to alter the input parameter sources, by using fqdn, ip mac adress etc.

But would it be possible to get a list of which parameters / attributes are used for the different entity types to generate their respective ids?

Hi!

I would tend to agree, but I do not see any reason why it shouldnt be public knowledge. 
You could even implement the same hash into monaco and terraform to check if you are working with the same entities.
