Before I put in a Product Idea for this, could someone double-check, please?
Implemented a mechanism for automating monitoring mode changes on some rarely used servers, in DPS.
To my surprise, I discovered that Dynatrace charges 15 minutes for Full-Stack, and another 15 minutes for Foundation, in the same 15 minute period, for the same server, when a change is done.
And while this does not breach what is said in https://docs.dynatrace.com/docs/license/capabilities/app-infra-observability/full-stack-monitoring
I believe Dynatrace should not be billing these two monitoring modes, for a same server, in any 15 minute period where we change monitoring mode. The higher mode should be the only one billed.
And while I discovered this doing it through the API, I believe it is happening also when you change it manually.
And I can imagine that it will be billed 3 times, if we eventually also change it to Infra mode in the same period.
