Getting stats from JMX vs Micrometers

Hi all,

What is the most effective regarding complexity & overall cost(ddu) ?

• setup every single jmx stat that I want to see in dynatrace one by one
• use micrometer to push all stats for my springboot instance

Hi @BenoitSigouin,

I thnik you should try both and compare them.

Regarding DDU if you collect the jmx metrics via oneagents the DDU consumtion is deducted from included metrics of host units (so will not consume DDU check the link below). Micrometer metrics always will consume DDU.

In one of my env. for the last24h these jmx mertics are only reported DDU not consumed DDU.
