Host unit hours lics release

I am not sure about the way of Host unit hours work, last week I see my Host unit hours has using overage, then today I just see it release.

Is there any reason of this release or is there specific period to release ?

The question is did you change anything on the environment?
Perhaps you have reduced the number of pod's or the amount of RAM allocated, resulting in less license utilization.
