Hi,
I want to capture the "connection time out" exception of particular java process in our environment.
can you please suggest how can i configure this exception to be captured for that process.
Solved! Go to Solution.
Hi @Mayana_Khan
You can isolate the desired exception with MDA and then crate metric on it.

Dynatrace automatically captures exceptions that cause the abort of a service call.
You can find them via Diagnostic Tools -> Exception analysis
If you want it for a specific service filter by Process Group Name or Service Name
If the exceptions isn't captured yet, e.g. because it's caught and a error delivered to the client you can still tell dynatrace to show the exception and mark the request as failed.
Find the service and go to Settings -> Error Detection and add it under Custom Handeled Exceptions
