Integrating Jenkins and Dynatrace using Jenkins connector

We are trying to integrate Dynatrace and Jenkins to send deployment events:

We have seen Jenkins connector. And I wonder if trigger build actions for Jenkins connector also allow sending deployment events.

Could someone clarify if Jenkins connector also uses to send deployment events?
