Meaning of cached OneAgent installers and container images

Guide

When installing AG for windows, there is 4GB requirement needed to be allocated for this directory %PROGRAMDATA%\dynatrace\gateway\tmp and it is for cached OneAgent installers and container images. I was wondering what does it really mean and why is it important?

Appreciate any feedback, thank you!

You may download installers via our rest.api or fetch container images using docker client directly from the Environment ActiveGate. In this case AG will cache the binaries and/or images on disk in the above directory to optimize the process. Additionally binaries for OneAgent automatic updates will also be cached there.
