Process monitored separately

I see this on a newly created SAAS Environment. What does it mean and how can I tell the different environments being mentioned here.

This process is monitored by a separate Dynatrace environment. This typically occurs when application or infrastructure teams share resources between separate organizations.

Hey, echwallah,

is this a newly installed agent or there was an old agent running on the same server, this mostly happens if there was OneAgent installed and sent the data to an environment, then it was uninstalled and the new agent was installed from a different environment before restarting the application services and remove all the old logs and configurations directories

I think restarting the application services will solve the issue if this was the case.

Hi,

We have the same problem.

In the process group deployed in the host we see that message (Process monitored separately) and on "Deployment status", selecting the host we see the message "No automatically detected processes that support Service insights.".

We have restarted the processes but the situation is the same.

Any idea to fix the problem?

Thanks in advance,

Elena.

Hello @echwallah

It is a known issue, and we have faced it multiple times during the planned disaster activities when the virtual machines cloned from the primary data center to the secondary data center during the exercise with the agent installed and connecting to the DR side Dynatrace Cluster and vice versa.

The issue was always resolved with the agent restarted, then the process restarted.

Babar

Hi @Babar_Qayyum ,

Thanks for your answer. We did that without success. And we also reinstalled the agent but we contiue having the error.

We launched the command ./oneagentctl --get-tenant and it returns only one environment.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

Regards,

Elena.

Hello @erh_inetum

Logically, there should be only one environment. Try the following command to know the current communication endpoints that OneAgent is to send the data to.

./oneagentctl --get-server

 Regards,

Babar
