Query/Statement Performance Comparison - Oracle Database Insights

Dear All,

Is there a way to compare (in the form of a custom chart/or a comparison chart) a Query/Statement monitored by the Oracle Database Insights?

Hi Babar, 

Absolutely - one way would be to use Multidimensional Analysis Chart capabilities to compare performance metrics for database requests. An example of this can be found on the 'Diagnostic Tools' page, under 'Top Database Statements'. This chart can then be filtered on for individual databases, requests, and timeframes.

For side-to-side comparison, there is also the 'Compare' tool. This option can be selected when viewing the database requests for a particular database, as seen in the screenshot below. This then allows you to compare response time, failures, and load for requests during different time frames. This page can also be filtered to individual requests.

Basically, I wanted to know the method to compare the statements monitored by Oracle Database Insights and these considered as custom devices.
