The [Search] textbox in Dynatrace Developer documentation doesn't work

chris_cho

Hello,

For a week, or so, accessing from work network the Dynatrace Developer online documentation, the [Search] textbox doesn't return anything. By pressing [Enter] with the input value, the spinning wheel doesn't stop, and doesn't return any results.
There are no similar issues with [Search] textbox accessing any other Dynatrace online documentation, from work network.
On the other hand, accessing Dynatrace Developer documentation externally, from my personal computer at home, everything works as expected.

What would be the cause?

Thanks,

Cristian

Hi @chris_cho

I've raised the issue with the right team. If I get something from them, I'll forward it to you here.

Thanks

Hi Idermohan,

Do you have any updates for me?

I just started having this similar issue the other day as well as a few other colleagues of mine from our work laptops.  It looks like it has something to do with the AI search functionality that was recently introduced and my company blocking CORS related requests as a result.  This is the message that shows up in the browser dev console:

"site" has been blocked by CORS policy: Response to preflight request doesn't pass access control check: No 'Access-Control-Allow-Origin' header is present on the requested resource. If an opaque response serves your needs, set the request's mode to 'no-cors' to fetch the resource with CORS disabled.

Thanks John,
Indeed, it looks like the [Netskope Client] blocks the [Search] feature in Dynatrace Developer documentation 😋

We've always been using Coveo as our search engine, and the implementation hasn't changed recently. I think Coveo got onto an AI-based tool and may be getting flagged for AI usage.

Hello! To use Search in Dynatrace websites, your browser needs connectivity to our search vendor, Coveo. It seems your network policy is blocking this.

Hello Jaroslaw,
As I mentioned initially, the issue with Search feature happens on Dynatrace Developer documentation (https://developer.dynatrace.com).
I started experiencing this issue end of November, beginning of December, as reference.
However, by disabling the [Netskope Client] on my work laptop, the Search feature works as expected on Dynatrace Developer documentation.
On the other hand, I haven't noticed similar issues with any other Dynatrace online documentations.
