Unable to select and configure Openpipeline during Dynatrace Administration Practical exam

Hi,

During my Administration exam on September 8, 2025, I had to create a pipeline, but Openpipeline was unavailable in my environment: neither in the Openpipeline app nor in the settings. I couldn't answer this question, which caused me to fail the exam by a few percent. How can I enable Openpipeline in the environment during exam?

You should have raised a support ticket for the university / exam (yes it's possible using https://one.dynatrace.com ). Maybe your environment was not correctly provisioned. I think the previously available OpenPipeline app was removed around that time, and OpenPipeline was moved into Settings.

It was right there, those are literally the links to the configuration of Openpipeline for Buisness events, Logs and Metrics...

@mark_bley maybe not. My colleague also had a case in the past when synthetic was not available, and the exam required you to do a synthetic test. OpenPipeline should definitely be in the result list if you type it. Regardless of the entity you are looking for.

I cannot answer for your colleague.

Yes, there have been changes to Openpipeline regarding location and permissions, but from the screenshot there is no reason to assume anything was wrong

I also agree that Openpipeline should appear if you type that in, as is the case now.

From the original screenshot there are clearly visible links to the respective settings after searching for openpipeline in the global search, as far as I can tell everything was there.

Just hovering over the links in the search would give you a hint were those settings are going (see my screenshot).

Hi, 

I agree that now it's available in setting but not during my exam on September. I search everywhere in setting or other thing but I was not able to find it. 

I retake the exam in October and I find it in setting, but I was not able to create any configuration (but I didn't take a screenshot during the last exam in October). 

I work for a client and in my client environment I didn't have this problem yet. I already create Openpipeline without any restriction before the location change and after it also. This only during exam that I encountered this problem.
