how can i make sure oneagent is completely out of billing  ?

by stop monitoring oneagent or  uninstall oneagent 

how can i double sure that this host will not get billed in next cycle . can i take list of oneagent with uninstalled status

Hi @Vijayt 

Only a full uninstall guarantees the host exits billing. Disabling monitoring is a pause for data collection, not a billing stop.

Run below dql to see the status of OneAgent.

fetch dt.entity.host
| fields entity.name, id, state, monitoringMode
| filter state != "RUNNING"
| sort entity.name asc

@Vijayt If you want to keep OneAgent installed and retain the historical data but stop billing, you can disable monitoring at the host level as well. This would stop the billing for the host from that point of time as the license consumption is measured in host hours. 

If you have a non production environment where you want to monitor the hosts only during business hours and disable the monitoring during non business hours to save on license costs , you should be able to achieve it by disabling the monitoring for the duration you do not want to monitoring the host and you would not be charged for usage .

Thanks for the clarification.

To correct my earlier statement: disabling monitoring at the host level can stop license consumption while retaining the OneAgent installation and historical data. A full uninstall is only required if you want to completely remove OneAgent from the host.

The DQL query above can still be used to identify hosts that are in MONITORING_DISABLED, OFFLINE, or other non-running states.

forget to mention , we have only classic access and does not have access to grail

Hi @Vijayt 

Since you're using Classic and don't have Grail access, the DQL query won't be available.

To verify that a host is no longer consuming OneAgent licenses:

• Go to Deployment Status > OneAgents and confirm the host is no longer reporting.
• If monitoring is disabled, check that the host shows Monitoring disabled.
• If OneAgent has been uninstalled, the host will eventually become offline and stop reporting.
• For billing verification, review the Licensing page and compare host-hour consumption before and after disabling monitoring or uninstalling the agent.

There isn't a built-in "uninstalled OneAgent" report in Classic, but inactive/offline hosts can be identified through the Deployment Status views.

Forgot to mention you can also use API
The only reliable way to get a filtered list of hosts by OneAgent availability state in a Classic environment is via the API:
You can test this directly in the Dynatrace Swagger UI.
Navigate to OneAgent on a host section
Use the GET /oneagents endpoint
Set availabilityState = UNMONITORED
