Is there a way to tell oneagent installer to use /opt/dynatrace instead of /var/lib/dynatrace/oneagent/agent/config for config files?

Hi Jordan,
I searched through the documentation to see if this was a parameter that you could set on install, but unfortunately it is not. See this page for available parameters: https://www.dynatrace.com/support/help/technology-support/operating-systems/linux/installation/custo...
You can define a specific directory for the agent binaries, but the log and config file locations aren't configurable.
Could you go into detail on why you would like to move the config directory in case Product Development sees the thread?
Thanks

Thanks for the response. Security is tight in my organization and we do not have access to remove files in /var. We have ran into some situations where to get an agent communicating properly we needed to do a full removal including those config files and then reinstall. Also it would be a QOL improvement to just have everything in a single place.
In addition, we have standard log directories that we are asked to redirect logs to.
Hi Jordan,
The /var/lib/dynatrace/oneagent path is not configurable, only the installation path is as mentioned by Dallas.
The logs directory is going to change in future release from /opt/dynatrace/oneagent/log to standards-compliant /var/log/dynatrace/oneagent. You can watch this specific product idea: https://answers.dynatrace.com/content/idea/218002/rfe-allow-alternate-log-path-for-oneagent.html and stay tuned for an announcement on our product blog.
