selfMonitoringAgent on Custom App doesn't work

Hi team,

Following the guide provided here:
https://developer.dynatrace.com/develop/test-and-troubleshoot/troubleshoot/monitor-dynatrace-apps/

It seems like per default Dynatrace already is injecting an Agent into all apps, so that setting doesn't matter as when the app is deployed and installed our custom monitoring agent can't be initialized:

Is there a way of disabling the default agent that collects data on custom apps? Or is there a way to enforce the custom agent used on the selfMonitoringAgent setting to be the one that is initialized by default?

Hi @sujit_k_singh this is not a Managed/Classic application but rather a React SaaS app. Navigating to this settings it doesn't show any app.

Go to Experience Vitals → Overview, select Web to view all web frontends, and select the frontend you want to configure. 

On the Settings tab, select Open in Settings.
Go to Collect and capture → Instrumentation → Custom injection rules.
Select Add rule.
Set the Operator/URL pattern to match the pages of the custom app.
Under Rule, choose Do not inject.
Save.
