DEM Selective 100% Session Capture vs. Global 10% Sampling

Hello Everyone,

Quick question regarding DEM sampling. My client is at 10% capture for the whole org, but they want 100% capture for specific tagged users.

Is there a way to "override" the sampling percentage for certain user groups in Dynatrace? Or is sampling strictly applied before the user identity is even known?

Currently capture rate is not tied to users in any way, so it is currently not possible to always capture a dedicated user. You can create a feature request and describe your use-case to make it more likely that this will be on a future roadmap.

We would also need this, but also with the possibility to trigger the session capture by the monitored application itself. Example of use case is to monitor users that reach an important page or start a business relevant funnel. 

So the idea could be to inject rum.js on all sessions, but start session tracking only after a js API like "dtrum.startSessionRecording".
