Hi, Over the past three years, the platform's UI has undergone constant changes. While software evolution is expected, the reality is that many of these updates have felt forced upon the user base, often complicating daily operations rather than streamlining them.
But we have reached a limit regarding what is acceptable.
As professionals who implement and manage this tool daily, we need the interface to be intuitive and practical. Currently, there are two specific areas creating unnecessary friction:
Set up agentless Real User Monitoring — Dynatrace Docs
Inconsistent Terminology (UI vs. Documentation): There is a clear disconnect between the official documentation and the actual console. As shown in the attached screenshots, the documentation is titled "Set up agentless Real User Monitoring", but Step 1 instructs users to search for "Web application monitoring via manual insertion" in the Hub. Using the documentation to explain away a UI name change is a workaround, not a solution. The interface should be self-explanatory. Forcing users to memorize that a feature is called one thing in the docs and something entirely different in the search bar is simply not practical
Overuse of Legacy UI Wrappers: Encapsulating classic interface views within the new console creates a disjointed experience. If the goal is a new interface, the redesign should be native and complete. Layering a new visual wrapper over old workflows just makes navigation feel clunky and adds no real value to the user experience.
I write this fully aware that this feedback might just get lost in the void, but for the sake of the community's operational sanity, it simply needed to be said.

Hello Rgarzon1,
Thank you so much for the feedback. It does make sense to be able to search the manual insertion application using an agentless keyword.
We will pass this information internally to see any changes can be made on this.
For the second point, agree to ceratin extent, when this completely moves to 3rd Gen you would no longer see the mixed UIs. We are kind of in the phase to move from 2nd Gen to 3rd Gen and end up with such view for now.
Best Regards
Kiran

As someone who has implemented and operated this platform across more than 60 different clients over the past 8 years
I wish this were an isolated incident, but it is not. There are countless features that no longer match the official documentation. We have been enduring this transition from v2 to v3 for almost four years now, and the story remains the same: "improvements" feel forced and are patched together on the fly. Worse yet, functionalities that we already had and worked perfectly are either being unnecessarily reinvented from scratch or have simply vanished.
But oh well. At this rate, GTA VI will probably come out before we get a fully finished and cohesive UI.
