Dynatrace Associate Certification Exam Preparation August 2025

Hi i am planning on taking my Exam in few weeks, i took the exam in May, 2025 using the Associate_Certification_Learning_Path, which was in a PDF document covering following topics

Foundational Platform Capabilities

Reporting and Analysis

Log Investigation

Traces

Synthetics

Security

Kubernetes Infrastructure

Infrastructure Observability

Cloud Integrations

Business Analytics

User Experience Monitoring

Automation

Dashboards

but now its showing up as interactive online content and not all of the Topics are covered e.g DQL, Automation, Traces, dashboards etc

Can you please help me pointing to the right exam Preparation guide!!

@nauman_a_butt That's interesting , looks like it was updated after recent DT University portal update .  I don't think taking just that course would be good enough to clear the exam. Not sure why the previous learning path was removed and replace with this course , may be someone from Dynatrace can clarify.

I would still rely on the earlier PDF leaning path as its more detailed and covers a broad set of topics unless the associate certification has been really trimmed down, which I highly doubt 😄

I also plan to take this exam in the next few weeks. I suspect that it is really different from the previous ones. I watched also the Foundation For Partners and one of my colleagues told me to check (he used it for his exam some time ago) -  dynatrace-associate-certification-exam-practice - but seem that the questions don't much this learning path.

I plan to go to the Q&A session for partners and to ask: Partners Q&A: Office hours

I also had a DT University Support Ticket opened and i got the following response back:
"Thank you for reaching out. All information regarding the Dynatrace Associate Certification exam can be found on the Dynatrace Associate Certification Preparation tab. More specifically the Dynatrace Essentials Learning Plan is listed to complete prior to taking the exam for preparation".

Thanks for the information @nauman_a_butt . So seems that they really changed the certificates content. But I'm sure that there is also this self place training which is required for the live hands-on training. Today I was on the Q&A session ( @nauman_a_butt — if I remember right you were also there, so please correct me or add anything if I’m missing something. I just want to share this for anyone else reading and looking for the answer)

The lecturer explained the following:

1. To prepare for the certificate, we should follow this path: Associate Certification → Foundation for Partners (self-paced training), and after that Hands-On Foundation for Partners.

2. The Dynatrace Essentials Learning Plan is for Customers, not for Partners. However, it also covers some of the content from Foundation for Partners.

3. I’ve watched both, and can confirm what the lecturer said. The nice part is that the Essentials also include labs — very similar to those in the Hands-On Lab — and they can be completed anytime in the Playground.
