Synthetic Private Locations are supported at the moment in RHEL 9.4, 9.6, and 9.7. link

Any idea when this will be supported in 9.8?

The Synthetic installer can be installed on all minor releases of Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9. However, we do have a piece of work scheduled to test the installation etc on RHEL 9.8, and after the tests have all successfully completed we'l update the table. There's no expected release added to the work yet but it is assigned to be done.

Thanks @HannahM  for the quick reply.

Does this apply also to Oracle Linux 9.* versions?

Antonio Sousa

Yes, this is the same for Oracle Linux 9.x and Rocky Linux 9.x.
However, for those,
we recommend using the latest currently supported versions according to their documentation ( Oracle Linux 9/ Rocky Linux Release and Version Guide),  rather than prefering the versions listed in the table, like we do for RHEL 9.
