NAM is yet another group of Dynatrace synthetic monitors. NAM acronym stands for Network Availability Monitors. Within the NAM, we have three types of monitors:
- ICMP ping monitors that validate if the selected target is reachable over the network and answer the ping
- TCP monitors that validate if it is possible to establish a TCP connection with a selected port on a given host
- DNS monitors that validate if the provided name is resolved into the IP address
