Is there a way to send alerts to support teams based on root cause objects ?
We tried alert profiles but it seems to only take into account the objects "impacted" and not the objects in the "root cause".

No, the alerting profiles are based on what entities and events are in the problem but there's no way in Dynatrace directly to filter only to things related to the root cause. This could be good idea/RFE though.
Currently, you'd need to send this to some other system in the middle capable of evaluating the problem more deeply for the root cause information and then forwarding an alert on from there,
