Is there a way we can capture the Drive Label/ VolumeName as a dimension in Dynatrace and use them as a filter for alerting?
I am looking to setup custom alerting for selected drives based on drive labels , as an example SQL_DATA or SQL_BACKUP. There may not be a particular standard on which drive ( D or E or F) would be marked as SQL_DATA and even new drives would be added as needed and labeled as SQL_DATA2 or SQL_DATA3 based on the need .
I need to set custom thresholds for certain drives based on drive labels as we can automatically apply the monitoring to any drives that might get added in future .
Is this achievable , any ideas please?

Hi @p_devulapalli ,
Have you tried the default metrics we have, you can split and filter by the labels. Example below.

@RohitBisht The disk labels I am referring to is the VolumeName in windows , for example in the attached screenshot D drive is labeled as "Data" and F: is labeled as "SYS_LOG"
From the data explorer we can filter by Host or Disk (DeviceID) and not VolumeName
Here is an example for understanding

there is no default way i could see, there is a related post but again is a manual effort.

@RohitBisht Yes, tags is a options but that involves a manual effort . It would be really helpful if there is a way we can have the VolumeName/ disk label available as a dimension
