Custom alerts for CLS score.

Hi All, I have set up custom CLS alert using  metric selector option and static threshold value. I want to be alerted only after X hours if issue continue to persist, so I have added X hours of delay if problem remains open. Now the thing where I need more clarity is the Advance Model Properties option under Metric events.

Violating samples and sliding window in a min does not make lot of sense currently can we keep it blank .If yes then how alerting message will go. If not then what will be the appropriate value for violating sample and sliding window. I have default 3-5-5 at the moment.

Secondly how can I print the actual value based on which I am getting alerted.

Hello cs6666,

I asume you are setting the delay in the Alerting profile to not alert if the problem is not open for X hours.

You can't keep it blank because it won't create a problem. What you're saying with those times is when you want Dynatrace to create and close the problem based on the threshold. If there is a problem that you want to create and close as soon as the metric changes, I recommend you let it be like that. If it is a metric that changes a lot during short time spaces, I recommend normally increasing those times so Dynatrace doesn't go crazy closing and opening the problem.

The actual value is the metric itself, so you can use, for example, Data Explorer to query for the metric and then attach it to a Dashboard.

Hope you a good monitoring!
