How are people self-monitoring their Azure data collections?
Specifically, how are they self-monitoring the Activegate Infrastructure?
For AWS there are several metrics. For Azure nothing/nada/zip.
Comparison in screen shots.

Hi @gchastne
kindly check the attached module is activated through the deployed AG:
For the below resources, the related dsfm metrics aren't provided by default oob by Dynatrace:

@Peter_Youssef those are all good docs, but did not really address the question. There is a pinned community post that gives vague information about enabling self monitoring, but not good detail. After following up with one of our Dynatrace contacts we have discovered these settings do not currently exist for Azure connections. We are trying to track it down, because we recently had one of our connections stop working and were unaware.
Some things you can do is to setup monitoring for when metrics are "missing data" as one way to know if you have lost connection altogether, or have delayed data collection. Other than that I have not been able to find any dsfm metrics that actually reflect Azure connection self monitoring.

Thanks @Peter_Youssef and @kayjayeff1 - this isn't really about problem resolution, it's about capacity planning.
In the AWS connection there are several metrics that allow you to get a handle on the performance of the connection and the ActiveGates involved. Simple metrics like "monitored entities" allows us to track and plan for additional capacity. Without these metrics we are left with problem resolution when something goes wrong.

@gchastne Understood. I would definitely like to be able to see all of that for Azure as well, but I think that all folds into the other (missing) pieces I mentioned. If and when I get additional information I can reply back to this thread.
