Welcome to the last and most exciting day of the Community Manager Appreciation Week of 2023!

Are you familiar with notorious "The Office" series? Many of you probably are, having seen all the episodes or at least some fragments, gags or memes based on this iconic show so accurately capturing the ordinary daily routine in the corporate world. One of the greatest things given life by "The Office" are the "Dundies". An annual awards given to the employees to highlight their not-so-ordinary accomplishments 👑

Inspired by that concept, we'd like to present you the last part of our Community Management Appreciation Week, the first ever Dynatrace Community's Dundies awards! Celebrate the bests, the funniest and the most awe-worthy with us!

And who knows, maybe this will grow into an annual thing for our Community too 😉

✍️ Best profile descriptions

The one that brought tears to eyes of the whole Community team:

"I never planned a career in tech, but in one of my earliest temp jobs I was the "youngster" and the only one who could reset the router, fix the printer, or download pics off the boss' new digital camera. Next thing you know, I'm building a new website for the company. Poorly. But, it got better, and so did I."

@ToddBuckwalter

The most professional and complete autobiography we've seen:

"An enterprise results-driven monitoring architect with programming skills and diverse experience covering performance engineering, APM management and implementation, Java/JEE performance improvement, application analysis, product design/development, application design/development/testing, environment development, capacity planning, test planning/support, scripting, offshore/onshore coordination, and training. Uses outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to efficiently and respectfully communicate with all internal client management levels. I am a technically skilled and analytical producer who consistently exceeds the goals and thus positions a company in the industry as a leader. Specialties: Application Performance Management (New Relic, APM dynaTrace , Datadog, AppDynamics, CA Tools (Introscope, UIM/ CEM), Spectrum, HPBSM, HP SiteScope, HP Diagnostics, HP BPM, HP RUM, HP BAC/BSM, Quest Foglight, Precise, SolarWinds, ThousandEyes, Splunk, Summologic), Application Performance Monitoring, Web-design, Web-development, Center of Excellence (CoE), Performance Problem diagnosis and resolutions."

@dnpmoris

The most inspiring (and also relatable) profile description:

"I am 44. I've been married for 18 years and we have 3 kids. And like anyone else, a lot of what I do and how I think has been shaped by my family and my overall life experiences. Many who know me say I am also defined by my curiosity and thirst for learning. I buy more books than I can finish. I sign up for more online courses than I can complete. I fundamentally believe that if you are not learning new things, you stop doing great and useful things. So family, curiosity and hunger for knowledge all define me. "

@DanielS

The one we had to Google to understand (and were not disappointed):

"Я родился в 70-м на краю города"

@Super

The one that made us chuckle:

"falo português um pouco"

There are many things I remember from the last year. But, in this context, the Community Challenges yielded the best ones 😂

My favorite is definitely Take the Community DJ Challenge! 🎵 and some of the unexpected replies I received:

  • Starting with you @Michal_Gebacki , and your "sooo different and fresh" taste for Portuguese music!
  • @dannemca expectations of seeing Moonspell on my list 😆
  • @Radoslaw_Szulgowith "Kizomba my love since the first step"

Just loved this!!!

And indeed, one of our memorable moments of last year was the SFW (safe for work) @echwallah rooster (I can not write c.o.ck here) picture 🤣

Mine is not so friendly...
