Hello Haris! Shed some light on your life’s journey.

I grew up in a small village in Bosnia and Herzegovina, where I couldn’t wait for school to end so I could spend summers in the countryside with my family. After helping with chores like milking cows, collecting hay, driving the tractor, and whatever else our grandparents came up with, my cousins and I were rewarded with the freedom to do anything we wanted. Out of everything, I loved riding my motocross bike and swimming in the river the most during those hot days.

I was always drawn to tinkering, fixing electronics or mechanical things, rather than learning things I couldn’t logically figure out. That curiosity naturally led me toward technical studies. It all started with creating GTA SA:MP servers for my friends and me, which required some basic networking skills.

I studied Computer Science and Engineering in Bosnia and spent two semesters abroad in Spain and France. Those experiences inspired me to continue my studies abroad. After being accepted at the University of Vienna, I started looking for job opportunities and eventually joined Dynatrace. (P.S. I dropped out of university later 😉)

Tell us about your work and what interesting things you’re working on.

I joined Dynatrace as a Technical Product Specialist, helping customers with all aspects of Dynatrace usage. After two years, I moved to the Platform Success team, where we focus on extending the platform’s value through enablement and adoption of services, frameworks, and standards. Our work centers around three areas: supporting developers, designers, and admins in building and designing apps and using platform concepts.

I’m part of the team that supports developers, acting as a bridge between app creators and platform architects. We promote best development practices and foster a community that helps build great apps.

What makes you excited about being a part of the Dynatrace?

It’s the people I’ve met here. There are so many amazing individuals across different teams, and this diversity makes it a joy to work and spend time together. I’ve made some great friends in my (almost) three years at Dynatrace.

Another thing I love is the constant positive change in our product. As a company, we adapt quickly and evolve when needed, which has helped us build something truly great. There are plenty of opportunities for individuals to grow and make an impact, and it’s rewarding to know that your efforts are valued.

Running with coworkers turns out to be a pretty solid team-building exercise!Running with coworkers turns out to be a pretty solid team-building exercise!

What makes Dynatrace Community important to you?

The Dynatrace Community reminds me of the best forums on the web, places where people genuinely help each other and share valuable knowledge. It’s a space for exchanging ideas, discussing different perspectives, and solving problems together.

For me, it’s a great way to understand what users are struggling with when developing Dynatrace apps. It often helps me find or provide solutions that make a real difference.

"Even small contributions can have a snowball effect, leading to more knowledge sharing and problem-solving. Whether you’re looking for help or offering it, the Community is a great place to be."

If you’re new, don’t be shy. Comment, ask questions, or share your thoughts. Curiosity goes a long way here.

Tell us something about you that most people don’t know. What is your biggest joy or passion in life?

Right now, it’s a mix of motorcycles and traveling. I try to combine the two whenever I can, since that’s the best of both worlds. Though it’s not always possible to travel the world on my bike, exploring new places helps me learn through experience and appreciate both the new and the familiar.

When I’m not traveling or riding, I enjoy hiking, cycling, or simply relaxing with a good coffee and homemade food somewhere around Vienna.

Something I often forget to mention, because it feels so natural, is helping others. Whether it’s cooking for someone or solving a technical issue, making others happy brings me a lot of fulfillment.

Yum yum.Yum yum.

A fun fact is that I’ve visited 32 countries so far, including 11 just in the past year. I’ve also worked as a babysitter, which was surprisingly fun, and as a sous chef in a hotel.

My bucket list is mostly a list of countries I want to visit. The next one will probably be either Brazil or Japan 😊. My dream is to travel around the world on a motorbike.

Fingers crossed you will make it on the bike around the world!Fingers crossed you will make it on the bike around the world!

What achievement are you most proud of?

Making my parents proud. While I haven’t achieved anything huge yet, I’ve overcome many small challenges along the way. Seeing my parents happy with what I’ve done means the world to me, and that’s what I’m most proud of.
