Hello Emmanuel! Shed some light on your life’s journey.

When I was a kid, I actually wanted to be a soldier (I think because the uniform looks cool). Later, in high school, I started to enjoy physics; it fascinated me how the world works at a fundamental level. But I eventually realized physics was a passion I preferred as a hobby, not a career. I chose to study IT not because I was in love with it at first, but because other paths didn’t feel right for me. That practical decision turned into a turning point. I discovered that IT was exactly what I loved. What started as a choice by elimination became a true vocation.

Tell us about your work and what interesting things you’re working on.

I’m a Consultant at Dynatrace, where I help clients adopt the platform and maximize its value. I joined through a training program that prepared me to troubleshoot and solve complex issues using Dynatrace. Before this role, I completed internships as a software developer and penetration tester during my university studies, which gave me a strong foundation in both building and securing applications. Today, my focus is on guiding organizations through successful implementations, sharing best practices, and ensuring they leverage Dynatrace to its full potential for observability and performance optimization.

What makes you excited about being a part of the Dynatrace?

Before joining Dynatrace, I didn’t even know observability was a thing. Now I see how essential it is. Dynatrace brings together metrics, logs, traces, and user experience in one place so you can uncover issues you didn’t even know existed. That’s incredibly valuable for our clients because it changes the conversation from “we think” to “we know,” and from guessing to resolving.

What makes Dynatrace Community important to you?

The Dynatrace Community is essential for me. It’s a place where you can ask questions and always find people willing to help, from practitioners sharing real-world tips to product experts offering guidance.

"I originally joined to contribute, and I stayed because it’s collaborative, generous, and practical."

For me, answering questions and sharing experiences is a way to stay engaged with purpose and keep learning in a meaningful way.

My best advice for someone starting out: jump in and try to help others. Even small contributions matter!

Tell us something about you that most people don’t know. What is your biggest joy or passion in life?

Outside of work, I enjoy simple things that give me energy and balance. I love walking my dog because I enjoy eating out with friends; I’m a big fan of horchata (a traditional sweet rice milk drink) and chai, and I like discovering new spots and flavors. I sometimes go to the gym to keep active, and I love going to the beach whenever I can. Road trips are another favorite with windows down, good music, and great company. That combination of nature, movement, and connection is what helps me recharge.

🔹 I love micheladas. A good balance of spice, lime, and salty rim is unbeatable.

🔹 I’ve always wanted to go to Antarctica. The idea of seeing such a remote, pristine place has been on my bucket list for years.

🔹 I love fragrances. I enjoy exploring different notes and how a scent can change your mood or mark a moment.

🔹 A dream of mine is to live on the beach. Waking up to the sound of the ocean and ending the day with a sunset walk is a lifestyle I’d love to build.

What achievement are you most proud of?

I’m proud that I became a software engineer this month, a milestone that represents dedication and growth. I’m also proud that I’m learning every day; staying curious and improving a little at a time is how I measure progress. And of course, being part of Dynatrace means a lot to me. It’s a place where I can contribute to meaningful outcomes for clients, keep leveling up my skills, and be surrounded by people who care about doing things the right way.
