Can ActiveGate Run on an External VM Instead of the Kubernetes Cluster?

Hi everyone, I would appreciate your help with a question.

In a Kubernetes Platform Monitoring + Full-Stack Observability deployment, is it possible to run the ActiveGate on a virtual machine instead of deploying it inside the Kubernetes cluster?

My goal is to avoid installing the ActiveGate in the cluster. Has anyone implemented this architecture, or is deploying the ActiveGate inside the cluster a requirement?

Short answer is, Yes, you can run the AG outside the cluster, just need to make sure the network connection happens between your cluster, AG and tenant.

I am not totally aware of the procedure, but I would suggest you to check for this: https://docs.dynatrace.com/docs/ingest-from/dynatrace-activegate/configuration/configure-activegate#...
