I've also had customers who like to have a visual confirmation that the monitors in their office are not frozen. A quick check that the dashboard has indeed been refreshed in the last 60 seconds. A "Last refresh (<timezone>)" would therefore help.
Currently its not possible to create a dashlet/tile with current date & time to be displayed on dashboard. As we don't have "external content tile" to display custom html.
