Hi Team,
I have 2 questions,
1. How to emoji or symbol or small images in dashboard? Will Markdown tile help here?
2. I want to create a dashboard like: Main Menu Tab (on top) & need to display the metrics on second tab with the chosen topic under Main Menu.
Main Menu: "App" "Infra" "User Experience"
Metrics: Here I need to see the Metrics for "App" if I choose "App" form Main menu.
is this possible?
Thanks,
Prabu Balaji.S

Hello @Prabu S.,
You can read more about the custom dashboards and tiles (and emojis as well) in this question from the forum:
Customized Dashboards/Tiles
Andreas Grabner also wrote a blog post about this topic:
Unleash the power of the Dynatrace Markdown Dashboard Tile
and we have a documentation page on it as well:
Markdown tile
On this page, you can view the markdown emoji cheat sheet (but I'm not sure if all of them will work in the Dynatrace - could someone confirm this?):

HI
I tried to add some emojis in a markdown tile, but using e.g. '' doesn't work. Do I have to use image files and include the images?

If you use Windows Key then Period you have access to Emojis. You can even right click and select Emojis

Hi Chad
Bingo, thanks a lot. I tried with '' and similar markdown syntax which doesn't work here.

@Malaik The support, in general, depends on the font the browser itself is using.

@Julius_Loman Where we can find the settings for compatibility ...
Nothing is mentioned about this.

It would be nice to have support for emojis in dynatrace dashboards directly, maybe by adding a font if it is missing, and to have support for markdown too, e.g. '' for a smiley inserted in a markdown tile.

Hello @matthias_dillie
Can you please copy here an example of how you made it,
I tried multiple options without any success.

Hi Malaik
For me it works pressing the keys <windows><.> when in the edit window for a markdown tile. Then an emoji window opens and I can select and insert emojis by clicking on them. Another way is to copy/past e.g. from: https://gist.github.com/rxaviers/7360908
Kind Regards
Matthias

Thanks @matthias_dillie
Copying the emoji it self is ok for me.
But eh shortcut not working, I will check.
Thanks and have a good day.

Hello Dynatracers,
In addition, you have also this one which is fun.
