Path to Dynatrace App Developer Certification: A User's Guide
The App Developer Certification Exam for Dynatrace ensures you understand the Dynatrace AppEngine and can implement custom use cases. It tests your ability to create, develop, distribute, and maintain Dynatrace Apps following best practices in security, accessibility, privacy, and quality. Certified individuals must also understand the Dynatrace App Lifecycle, including app distribution and lifecycle management using Dynatrace's developer tools.

Preparation: Before diving into app development, it's essential to learn TypeScript and React. Key TypeScript topics include data types, statements, loops, types and interfaces, inheritance and polymorphism, and debugging and logging. For React, focus on importing libraries, configuring routes and links, and creating pages and components.
- AppEngine and Technologies: Understand the AppEngine, App Toolkit, AppShell, and JS Runtime.
- Strato Design Framework: Learn about Strato Design and design tokens.
- App Functions: Explore what App Functions are, how they work, use cases, and limitations.
- Intents: Understand Intents, their use cases, and how to send/receive and debug them.
- Platform Services: Familiarize yourself with key services like State, App Settings, Document, and Grail services.
