Dynatrace App Developer Certification Exam

Subject: How can I book the Dynatrace App Developer Certification Exam in 2026?

Hello Dynatrace Community,

I'm interested in taking the Dynatrace App Developer Certification Exam (Application Development Specialist).

I've checked Dynatrace University and the Partner Enablement Hub, but I can only see the Associate, Associate for Managed, Implementation Professional, and Administration Professional certification tracks.

Could someone from the Dynatrace team please confirm whether the App Developer certification exam is currently available and share the direct booking link or registration process?

If the exam has been temporarily withdrawn or replaced, I'd appreciate information about the new certification path.

Thank you for your help!

Hey,

I'm not part of the Dynatrace team, but I can share the following information:

New Dynatrace certifications are being released on October 15, 2026.

The four certifications currently available — Essentials, Associate, and the two Professional certifications — are the only ones available at the moment.

Based on the pilot exams they ran at the beginning of this month, Associate and the two Professional certifications certifications will probably remain the same (assumption), but the exam format and questions will change and update with the upcoming release.

Hi @Ranjit ,

Thank you for reaching out,

The Application Development Specialist Certification has been decommissioned, alongside the other specialty certifications, so there is no booking link.

We are moving from standalone exams to certificate programs. Please watch Dynatrace University and Community announcements for updates on the new offerings.

So far there's not a planned date, on October 15th we will be updating the available exams but we won't be offering one for App Development yet.

In the meantime, developer.dynatrace.com is a good place to build your app development skills.
