we would like to use calculated metrics based on self-monitoring metrics. This is currently not possible. When creating a calculated metric, the base metric has to be chosen from a drop-down menu and those metrics are not part of the list. This would be a useful feature for us.
We need the metrics dsfm:server.service_calls.persisted and dsfm:server.service_calls.received available as base metrics to create calculated metrics.

Currently like you wrote, Dynatrace does not support creating calculated metrics based on self-monitoring metrics, such as dsfm:server.service_calls.persisted and dsfm:server.service_calls.received. Your suggestion to include them is valuable and would enhance the flexibility and analytical capabilities in Dynatrace. You can create a product idea.
