Hi Team,
I need a clarification.
In our customer we have 2 different Env (2 different tenants): 1 for PDC and 1 for DDC.
Do you think that this possible to take the backup from PDC and apply for DDC to have data replication?
Is there any limitation?
Thanks.

You can just move configurations using Monaco or Terraform between environments. Even with it, not all configurations can be migrated. Data cannot be migrated between Dynatrace environments.

Hi,
Yes thanks for sharing, my main concern was about the data.
Thanks.

Hi @Malaik
Yes, your concern about data replication is valid — Dynatrace does not support copying or replicating monitoring data between tenants (PDC → DDC). Each environment is isolated, and historical data cannot be migrated.
The only thing you can replicate is configuration, using: Monaco OR Terraform as suggested by @Julius_Loman
Thanks,

What is the use case for having same data on 2 different environments on the same cluster ?
You can e.g. display data from another env with x-env dashboards https://docs.dynatrace.com/docs/shortlink/dashboards-multi-environment

Who said same cluster?
This for 2 different clusters for Data resilience in case of Disaster.

What you’re asking for, keeping data resilient across PDC and DDC, is exactly what Premium HA is designed for, but due to the latency you describe between your data centers it isn’t technically possible.
Using backups for replication between tenants isn’t supported: a backup can only be used to fully rebuild the same cluster in a disaster scenario, not to keep two separate environments in sync. (But could technically restore the data in a new cluster)

@Malaik not sure if you have a looked into Premium High Availability (PHA), this should be able to meet your needs of having the data and configuration sync'd up. Of course you will need to be a Managed Online along with additional licenses. - https://docs.dynatrace.com/managed/shortlink/managed-multi-data-center
My understanding is traces are distributed among all nodes and they don't replicate - Wish you all the best!

Thanks @mrc15816
yes sure, but this didn't meet the Dynatrace requirements which is mainly having less than 15ms of latency.
