Hi Team,
for integrating Dynatrace Managed with Mobile app (Android or iOS), I am not able to clearly find out the prerequisites for this integration from below link:
https://www.dynatrace.com/news/blog/dynatrace-mana...
From this link , i could understand below two prerequisites . please let me know of below are correct or not. If not, then please correct me:
Prerequisite 1 : Dynatrace managed cluster URL should be accessible from Mobile app for establishing first connection (One time activity). So me need to ensure DT Manage URL is accessible to Mobile device for first connect.
Prerequisite 2 : Once mobile establishes connection with DT managed cluster URL , then it will receive notifications via ActiveGate.
Also it will be good to have these prerequisites added to the official documentation of Dynatrace Managed Integrations.
Thanks

Yes exactly, so you have to surf to that connect page with your mobile phone and click on connect. Then you get the mobile push notifications. In order to be able to fetch the problem details, the Dynatrace API has to be accessible by your mobile phone, either you are in cooperate network anyway or you have to use a Public Security Gateway to proxy the incoming mobile API requests to the Dynatrace Managed server.
Yes I agree we have to improve the documentation on that topic.

Hello @Wolfgang B.,
Thanks for your quick answer here!
Please clarify me further on below follow up question :
If i use a Public Security gateway(PSG) to proxy the incoming mobile API requests ,then i should access the PSG url in my mobile app or my DT Managed Cluster URL ?
For documentation update , do i need to raise an RFE Idea separately?
Thanks

@Wolfgang B. Can you please elaborate more on point mentioned by you blow
you have to use a Public Security Gateway to proxy the incoming mobile API requests to the Dynatrace Managed server.
--> From Internet we are going to open 9999 Port for public security gateway. Is that enough to cover the requirement shared by you above. Like passing the traffic through API using proxy.

For Dynatrace managed the mobile app uses the same port that is configured for the REST API on the public security gateway

Patrick @ Do we need to define anything in Public Security Gateway for Rest API . How the internet traffic will get routed for API if Public Security gateway server is in DMZ .
