Hi Team,

We have stopped the services on the Dynatrace server and we have seen that it is automatically started post server reboot. Will Dynatrace service get auto start post reboot? Kindly answer the same.

Thank You

Hi @pratiksha14 ,

Yes, that is right. OneAgent would auto-start when the server is rebooted.
For a scenario where the server is restarted, Dynatrace would notify that the connection with the server would be lost and the monitoring is not available. Once the server is restarted, all the services within the server would kick start along with Dynatrace. This will allow the Dynatrace problem to auto close as the monitoring of the server (Host) is back online.

You can always check the status of the OneAgent services with the following command:
https://www.dynatrace.com/support/help/setup-and-configuration/dynatrace-oneagent/installation-and-o...

Auto start of the services is a proactive method to make sure that the monitoring is always available.

Kind regards,
Abhi

Is there any way to stop auto restart mode post server reboot?

Yes, you can do that and the document would help you perform the same actions:

Linux - Start/Stop OneAgent

Windows - Start/Stop OneAgent

Hope this helps.
