Hello
Coluld please tell me about parameter which I can correctly determine the sizing of the number of Dynatrace nodes
two parameters are specified in the documentation: Max hosts
monitored (per node) and Peak user actions/min (per node).
https://www.dynatrace.com/support/help/shortlink/managed-requirements#hardware-requirements
I have no questions about the number of hosts, everything is clear
but how to count the number of user actions if we only do monitorig of back-end systems ?
We do not have user actions/min (and usually 1 user actions do not equal 1 request on back-end).
we also use a separate installation of Dynatrace which monitors the main cluster Dynatrace ( thereby achieving the self-monitoring function)
but I don’t understand which metric from monitoring the full stack I can se for sizing analysis

If you are unsure of count of user actions/load on your organizations infrastructure, then I would recommend starting out with the sizing of Small. When creating a node, I would recommend using it in VMware, this will give you the flexibility to grow your node(s) in accordance with sizing. SO as you onboard more hosts and monitor more user actions, you can increase your ram/cpu quite simply with a vmware host. Granted, you might want to have a 3 clustered node set up so as you recycle one to adjust the resources, the other nodes will take over the work load.

To answer directly your question:
If you don't have any frontend (Real user monitoring), you can assume it's 0 user actions/min. Base your sizing only on hosts #. What will change - is lower requirements on Elasticsearch storage.

how many requests can the communication interface handle ?

sometimes I get error - persistent errors in Dynatarce UI
What is mean ?
by hosts we have only 50% of the limit on documentation requirements
