@andreas_grabner focuses on using Auto Tagging entities based on their onboarding timestamp for better reporting, filtering, and suppressing alerts during initial setup through tag-based maintenance windows.

Chad walks us through the power of crafting entity selectors that include the “first time seen” metadata to segment monitored entities (hosts, processes, services …) based on their first appearance in Dynatrace Smartscape. Using that for automated tagging enables reporting on Dynatrace rollout progress as well as using onboarding timestamp-based maintenance windows to suppress unnecessary alerting during the initial setup of a new environment.
