To add to what @bradley_danyo has already mentioned, the list of the metrics can be found in the documentation of SQL Server extension:

Each metric will consume 525.6 DDUs per year / per configured endpoint.

Can we configure the SQL Server extension so we only consume specific metrics (not all metrics) like Locks Metrics?

Not down to the individual metric level, but you could for example only check the default and locks feature set (look at the bottom of the hub tile for all feature sets): https://www.dynatrace.com/hub/detail/microsoft-sql-server-2/
