File check extension soft links

Do you know if the file check extension can monitor a soft link in Linux? What are the criteria for the file check extension? Does it have to be a local mount can it be an NFS mounted disk?

There is a new version of the fileChecker coming out very soon which handles both cases. It can check that a mount is up or down as a separate check.
