How to report GAUGE/statistic summaries, from an ActiveGate Extension?

Looking at the normal ways that we can report data from an ActiveGate extension (eg. absolute() method), there seems to be no way to report in data with statistic summaries (eg. GAUGE type of data, as available in the metric ingestion protocol). Or is there?

There isn’t. You need to use the metric protocol for that.
