Monitor a HAProxy inside a docker container

Hi there.

We run HAProxy as a pair inside a DMZ and the HAProxy is deployed inside a container.
We reconfigured the HAProxy to provide a stats page, which I set up in the HAProxy Plugin in Dynatrace to see more metrices.

I know that one sees further information with Dynatrace using the HAProxy Plugin running on a Linux Server including the frontend and backend services etc.
I noticed, that no one sees those information in the case, that HAProxy runs inside the Docker container.

Does anyone have an idea why and how do I fix it?

Good news is that we are currently working on fully automatic support for HAProxy deployed inside a Docker containers. I will keep you posted.

I just came across this requirement as well.
Trying to achieve this in socket mode inside the container, but I guess that is not easily done as the container doesn't have any user note of dtuser.

@Jakub any estimate in which version this would be available?

socket mode inside Docker containers will be delivered with version 164 agent

We are using the following implementation of HA Proxy which includes ingress - https://github.com/jcmoraisjr/haproxy-ingress .. once v164 of the agent comes out, will it have the out of the box support for monitoring of the ha proxy without any other changes to the container version that I have mentioned?

Sorry for now Docker containers only. We will automate support for Kubernetes too but no EAT yet. We need more research to limit configuration to absolut minimum.
