OneAgent Monitoring forTuxedo

Hello - does anyone have any experience with OneAgent monitoring for Tuxedo?
I understand that the agent cannot inject into Tuxedo directly (as it is not a supported instrumentation technology).

Can any metrics be gathered via an API? I have seen a few vendors via a google search that can expose metrics for queues/services/transactions etc & would love to get something in Dynatrace 🙂

Hello Ben.

There are a couple options that you can explore here.

Firstly you could utilize our new ActiveGate plugins as long as the Tuxedo service has an exposed interface https://www.dynatrace.com/support/help/shortlink/a...

Also, you could write a custom plugin for this technology pending it meets the requirements as described here: https://www.dynatrace.com/news/blog/extend-dynatra...

There are currently no plans for an official extension.
