What will happen with the browse for metrics in the create extension?

Hello,

When extensions 1.0 is fased-out, what is going to happen with the browse part of below functionality? A favorite of mine, used so search JMX metrics,

Good question! We are looking to expose the information from the JMX browser over an API. That way anyone, including our vscode add-on can use that to create the YAML automatically.

Yes, having the browser is definitely a must and I hope this will be delivered soon. The most common scenario we face is that the application is delivered by a 3rd party, so you have no clues about the exposed means. You can't connect to JMX remotely to see live MBean data. Without the browser, it's nearly impossible to write the JMX extension.
