Dynatrace currently supports overriding security rules through an override configuration file that must be deployed individually on each VM. Refer to https://docs.dynatrace.com/docs/shortlink/lma-security-rules#override-security-rules
While this approach works, it introduces operational overhead and increases the risk of configuration drift across environments.
It would be highly beneficial if Dynatrace could offer this security override configuration as a tenant-level setting, accessible and managed directly by tenant administrators within the Dynatrace UI. A centralized configuration would ensure consistency across all hosts, simplify management, and reduce the need for manual file-based overrides on individual VMs.
Providing this capability at the tenant level would significantly improve usability, scalability, and governance, especially in large or dynamic environments where maintaining per-VM configuration files is operationally challenging.
