After two incredible years of Lightning Talks at Perform, we're bringing them back for Perform 2027!
What started as a fun experiment has become one of the most popular community-driven sessions at this event. Over this time, you've shared practical tips, automation wins, observability lessons, AI experiments, and engineering stories that inspired fellow Dynatrace users around the world.
From building powerful dashboards, workflows and mastering OpenTelemetry, to creating apps with Dynatrace APIs, automating incident response, and helping developers work smarter with AI, our community has proven that some of the best ideas can be shared in just 5 minutes. Read more about the Lightening Talks 2026 edition by checking this article.
We're looking for community members who want to present a 5-minute lightning talk and share something that made a real impact in their organization.
Topics we're particularly excited about include:
Here are a few examples of talks we'd love to see:

Don't worry if you've never spoken at a conference before. The Dynatrace Guild team team will help you refine your story, build your slides, and prepare for the stage. Whether you're a seasoned presenter or sharing your first community talk, we'll support you every step of the way.
Some of our most memorable lightning talks came from first-time speakers.
Share your experience, inspire your peers, and help the community learn from real-world success stories, as we can't wait to hear what you've built, automated, optimized, or discovered.

Hey @andreas_grabner
I’d be happy to share a productivity tip around a custom Lookup Management app I built for Dynatrace in a weekend. 🙂
The app makes it easier to manage and maintain Dynatrace lookup tables directly from a simple UI, including editing, adding, deleting, updating and versioning of lookup data inside of dynatrace.
I think it could make for a nice 5-minute lightning talk, especially around how a small custom app can simplify everyday Dynatrace administration and save some work.
Happy to share a quick demo at Perform 2027! 🙂

I'd like to give a talk to share how my boss used the Dynatrace Remote MCP to create an interactive game - World of ObservabilityCraft? Age of Infrastructure? Game of Hosts?
After nearly 20 years trying to recover and heal myself from an unhealthy XBOX360 addiction ever since Top Spin 4 came out, I'm now getting my life-long love of performance and observability properly gameified. Help me.
