C++ technology process groups monitoring through SDK

Hi,

We have application process based on C++ technology. Through declarative process group rule, we are able to monitor the process groups at infra level( CPU, Memory, etc.). However, with this approach we had limitation to monitor individual process instance on the same host( if two processes instance runs on the same host),traces monitoring, and code visibility.

We are interested to go ahead SDK instrumentation. I got the GIT hub link GitHub - Dynatrace/OneAgent-SDK-for-C: Enables custom tracing of native applications in Dynatrace. Still I am not sure where to make this change in the application code? I have access to source code and this  C++ technology process groups has 20+ classes.
