Can EdgeConnect be use by human user instead of service?

I've read the documentation page, but even after reading I still couldn't answer this question.

You cannot use EdgeConnect directly (except for connectivity testing), but you use its features seamlessly in other applications such as Notebooks, Dashboards or Workflows. Whenever you perform a 3rd party HTTP request from  Dynatrace Apps and it's targeted to an on-prem destination, it gets routed via EdgeConnect.
