Not sure what a SaaS base application batch job is, but the Dynatrace browser extension does only enable real user monitoring for web application without the access to the html or to the server for installing a OneAgent.
So it brings real user monitoring and therefore monitors activity triggered by a user input. If the application is just running and the screen is refreshed periodically, then no user actions will be produced.
