We need to provide charts to our customers with the availibility of the hosts.
However I cannot find the metric "Host - Availability" in the list, when creating a new custom chart.
The only way I know to see this metric is by going to Hosts -> MyServerHostName and the I have the availability on the right side.
Is there another way to have the hosts availability in a chart / report?

@Sebastian K. Is there a specific reason why it is not available for charting . I could see this is available in API for both host and process.
"Availability" is very important metrics for any business. This would be really helpful if we can have this for charting.

I suggest posting RFE about this issue. I don't know the answer 🙂

@Sebastian K. - Do you have any idea why the metric is available through the API but not through Custom Charts? Do you know why there's a difference between what's available through either mechanism. There is a post here saying to use the API. Maybe @Wolfgang B. knows the difference?

I would also like to create a custom chart with this metric as we have a 99% availability clause with our clients and a graphical visualization (without having to go into each host) they could access via the console would be ideal (especially if it took into account any maintenance windows and didn't count those timeframes as being 'down'). I found an RFE for it, let's all vote!
