How to migrate App Mon 6.5 to OneAgent without losing previous data ?

we are planning to migrate App Mon6.5 to OneAgent .Please suggest

Hello Ajay,

I guess you are talking about the AppMon agent instead of OneAgent which is a totally different technology.

For easy migration from existing installations, every 6.x (or later) Bootstrap Agent is capable to switch back and forth between Classic Agent and the AppMon Agent. There is no need to re-configure the Agent injection. The switch of the agent platforms can be simply triggered in the AppMon Client.

Migration concept is a bit different than the integration. So if you are wondering about your existing data then you can use the integration feature to push your data to the Dynatrace (OneAgent).

Dynatrace provides a built-in integration that automatically pushes selected AppMon real time monitoring data such as business transaction data and monitoring metrics directly to your Dynatrace SaaS or Dynatrace Managed dashboards.

You can push any of the following AppMon metric types to Dynatrace:

• Measures
• Business transactions
• Host & process metrics
• Server health metrics

If you are talking about moving to the new Dynatrace platform, then the retention would stay in App Mon as Babar mentioned we can push some metrics up to Dynatrace however things like your session storage don't have a 1-1 transition over to the Dynatrace Platform so would not move to the new platform.

i think no for app mon to oneagent .

But it is possible to move agents from 6.5 to 7 !
